In my heart I store all my dreams, hopes, and very deeply rooted passions. Children
and teaching belong in my heart. In my heart I feel something so strong for each. A desire to reach out and make a difference.
A veteran once said, "I fight for you!" And he pointed to all the little kindergarten faces that watched him with admiration.
It is with that same conviction that I step into the teaching field.
I believe that by helping each
child discover the hero that lies within. They will learn to live rather than just survive, to serve rather than criticize,
to love rather than hate, to accept each others differences by learning how they all contribute to the big beautiful picture
of life. I believe that when we teach by example rather than just by lecture, we influence the future rather than just become
a part of the past. I believe that we truly live the American dream when we give others the chance to live it also. But most
of all, I believe that children need to know they are loved.
I will create a classroom
that is a haven from the world, one where children have freedom of inquiry and speech without worry of being laughed at or
hurt. These are my goals and my philosophy of teaching.
